[Update, April 2026:] Infographic: FAMILY DYNAMICS, HEALTH AND MIGRATION IN THE EAST & HORN OF AFRICA REGION

The case collection is part of the knowledge generation program of the 6th Health and Migration online course (2025), organized by the Center for Health and Migration (CHM) in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM – UN Migration), a network of experts and stakeholders, and with funding from the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior. The course contributes to: (i) strengthening capacity among professionals engaged in policymaking, program development, and health and social care; (ii) building a global community of health and migration experts; and (iii) facilitating the exchange of lived experiences and good practices.

The Center for Health and Migration, Vienna, continued the dialogue of researchers and health and social work practice experts on the topic of family, health, and migration. Guided by the working paper on family, health and migration, experts from the East and Horn of Africa Region started a case collection on the topic and its relevance for the region. First findings were used as basis for an infographic.
